Send a message to the person who requested a photo of the grave monument of John Brown-King with the following comment:
Although living in Brixham, Devon I am a bona fide native of Harwich and, as such, I have a great interest in the Harwich Force of WW1 and in particular HMS Amphion, the first warship lost in the 1914-18. I am compiling a record of every crew member who served on that ship on the 6th August 1914, together with photographs (where possible) of them and their graves and/or memorials.I would very much like to obtain copies of the Shotley graves of the 4 who were buried there initially being COPLAND (528), DICK (526), FOSTER (052), MARTIN (047) and the young Royal Marine who later died of wounds KING-BROWN (548). If you can assist with these I will be very grateful indeed.I am always happy to provide photos of graves/memorials from the south Devon area.I did, in fact, serve as a member of the ahip's company of HMS Ganges way back in 1967.Very many thanks indeed for your kind consideration and help in this matter.Kindest regardsPeter Haywood
